Thanks Greg. My comments on 'Church of God' churches were intended to be historical - where they are coming from. I agree with you that things are changing. (How denominations change aspects of their faith implicitly rather than explicitly would be a good research project for someone). I couldn't make the webinar about Joel, but I sensed that the NTCG line up reflected those changes.

I have Israel's book on order.

Christmas joy & peace to all your family

Thanks John.. I think that is fair comment on Robert's work which I always find informative and often inspiring if occasionally frustrating for its one track focus when some nuance might be helpful. I do however, think your point 2 is a very dated picture of African Caribbean Pentecostalism in Britain. In the last few years in particular there has been an amazingly strong racial justice narrative coming from those churches and it's emerging too from some of the African diaspora groups.. Did you mange to see last Saturday's webinar reflecting on the life of Joel Edwards?

Also I've just got hold of Israel's latest book(let) https://www.urbanmissionuk.net/post/a-new-book-exploring-discipleship-suffering-and-racial-justice which is an interesting take.
